If You’re A British Magician, London Is The Place To Be
October 19, 2009 10:55 am ArtsMaking a living in many of the arts is not easy – economic recession with the resultant job losses makes many people, even big companies, wary of spending what may be deemed unnecessary money on entertainment.
And magic is, of course, no different. Even though this ancient art form is still very popular, being a working magician is hard work, especially if you’re not the type who particularly enjoys performing at children’s birthday parties.
It does help, of course, if you’re based in or near a big city, and so for a British magician, London is still the place to be – there are more potential clients, more venues, and you can generally charge higher fees too.
