An all too important but often overlooked part of any professional’s business is errors and omission insurance.  It is called by different names in different industries, but I have the most experience with real estate appraisers, and that is what it is called in that industry.  Appraisers are not unaffected by unintentional errors, so they especially should pay attention.

If you got caught off guard by a suit filed against you, what would you do?  Do you currently have protection or would your business suffer?  Most likely if you do not have errors and omissions insurance, your businesses would suffer from a serious setback that would be very hard to recover from.
