I am planning on making some improvements to my property and have started looking for skilled laborers to help me.  While interviewing one contractor he asked me if I had hired a party wall surveyor in order to make sure I was in compliance with the laws that were put into place by the Party Wall Act.  I realized that I had overlooked an important step in the process and have begun looking for information that defines exactly what my resposiblities are.  It would probably be wise to hire the surveyor rather than trying to interpret the law myself and possibly have problems later on down the road.
