Working Out of Town Was a Challenge For My Family

10:36 am Business

When my youngest child was a baby, I got a job that included working out of town on a regular basis. To keep my young family close, I looked into purchasing a travel trailer. The plan was to keep my family close by as I traveled for work. Because we were a young couple, our 3 credit bureau fico score indicated that we didn’t have a long enough credit history to qualify on our own. My father in law offered to cosign on the loan and because of the fact that I had always paid my obligations, he was able to feel confidant that I would make this a priority as well. Surprisingly, it ended up being a great experience for us both, as I never missed a payment and eventually sold the trailer after I no longer worked out of town.
