The Traditional Foods of Yesterday: Always a Healthy Choice

With the hectic day-to-day lifestyles so many of us lead today, the stresses placed on our bodies are, quite often, more than we can defend. This is why a diet rich in immune-system-building nutrients is necessary. A few of the traditional foods benefiting healthy immune systems are rich in minerals such as calcium and magnesium as well as Vitamin C. Good food choices meeting these criteria are oranges (Vitamin C), crab, lobster, and oysters (magnesium and calcium). Additional sources of natural nutrients are broccoli, leafy green vegetables, and cauliflower.
