Retirement is not the end of the world. It should be a beginning of a new “career.” All those years of dreaming what you will do while being retired now becomes a reality. Whatever it is you wanted to do now can be done and enjoyed. Don’t adopt a negative outlook on retirement as if you are no longer wanted. Associating retirement with getting old is what will happen to you. Have a youthful plan as to what you will do with your days and if you are passionate about embarking on a new venture, do it! Most of the time retirement is usually less expensive when a daily commute and cost of professional clothing is no longer needed. Becoming involved in the community by volunteering in a worthy cause will provide meaning to your retirement years and give a sense of direction as you pursue worthy goals.
