My brother has always loved to take things apart, make them better, then put them back together again.  Eventually he expanded and began to build things for friends.  One day I stopped by and noticed his latest invention, which was an improvement on a household organizer.  He told me he had made several and even sold a couple.  I wasted no time explaining why he needed a Patent Pending on his idea.  It had never occurred to him that he could make serious money with his hobby, but he took my advice and got a patent.  Not long ago his product went on the market and it looks like it will make him a nice income.
