Last weekend, I had to take a road trip down south to see some family, and on my way down I went through the Adirondack Mountains in upper state New York. Let me tell you, it is gorgeous there! So many lakes and mountains, a lot of wildlife, and the scenery is just breath-taking. I can only imagine what all those trees look like in autumn, and snow must turn the area into a winter-wonderland. I really enjoy hiking and camping, so I think the next time I go on vacation, I will be making a point to visit the Adirondack Mountains. I hear they have a lot of great winter sports up there as well, so perhaps a visit during the colder months would be a good idea as well!
