I believe that children deserve to be an active member of their family. This means that they should go with the parents on fun vacations, if the finances can allow it. When my husband and I decided that we were going to go on a vacation, we knew that we wanted the kids to go and experience what we were going to. That is why we found a great Ajijic bed and breakfast that was kid friendly, to stay for a full week in. It was not crowded, and it gave the best atmosphere for the children to have fun in.
